It's parent-teacher conference season at the KinderCare and tonight, we met with Clara's teachers who revealed this little gem of a story that is "just so Bird": Ms. Melissa and Ms. Shelby both find Birdie to be a pretty laid back thing who rolls with the punches. If some ruffian takes her toy, Bird shrugs it off. There are other toys in the sea, you know. But, we are told that once, after her toy had been taken, she went to the toy shelf and found herself a real beauty and banged it on the floor in the direction of the Toy Snatcher (the better to reveal all its beauty). When the Toy Snatcher made for this new delight unearthed by Our Birdie, she made off with her original toy. She pulled the old switcheroo! Ha!

Just So Bird
