Nectarines and Peaches

A brighter Birdie Bulletin is that Birdie is a tremendous fan of nectarines and peaches. We discovered this preference because we, too, are tremendous fans of nectarines and peaches and went on a streak where we were buying 20-count boxes of nectarines, and then peaches, at the Trader Joe's which were somewhat surprisingly really fabulous. Given the rather annoying tendency of stone fruits to turn from unripe to overripe on a dime, we all at nectarines and peaches like they were going out of style. Initially, we were splitting a nectarine between Birds and Joe, but then Birdie would grunt and bang her empty bowl on the table and try and drink from it like, "Come ON people! Where. Are. The. PEACHES?!?! Flowin' like mud around here." So we started giving her a whole fruit at a go.

(In this picture, you can see that she is also rather fond of a burrito. She has put the kibosh on the splitting of that, too. She will take a whole burrito please and thank you very much. To date, she is an Amy's Cheddar Cheese burrito Bird.)
