A Little More Bliss

After nap on Sunday found us at the DQ for snack, where Clara got vanilla soft serve in a cup with sprinkles (rainbow!), just like Her Hero, Joe, but of her very own. There may have been sprinkles on her ear a la an earring. Yes, it's true. She was quite charming and our photography staff regrets that we do not have a picture to accompany this report.

In the car on the way over to the DQ, we popped in the kids country music CD which had just arrived, and is identical to the one Julie often heard spinning in Clara's room. Perhaps more adorable than the sprinkles on her ear, was the manner in which our Baby Bird heard the first beats of the first song, paused, and threw her arms up, and started rockin' out, all, "I know this one! Turn it UP!"

This CD is pretty hilarious. It's adults, singing some of your modern day country hits, with a chorus of maybe six-year-olds providing back-up. So if you are familiar with say, Sugarland's Something More, picture if you will six-year-olds singing the following, as a fifteen-month-old rocks out:

Monday, hard to wake up
Fill my coffee cup, I'm out the door. . .

There's gotta be something more
Gotta be more than this
I need a little less hard time
I need a little more bliss. . .

We don't know fans. Is there more than this? Most of the time, it's pretty much bliss.
