As is perhaps evidenced from the huge plate of food seen before Birdie in the previous post, Birdie is a rather serious diner. She can sign "hungry" (or "eat") as well as "more" very well, but the way one can often tell that Clara is hungry, is by finding her perched atop her high chair. Yes, when hungry, Clara simply marches over to her chair, pulls it out, and clambers on up. She has yet to fall, we might add. Birdie is a rather self-possessed 15-month old, and rather sure-footed. Julie used to ask "Are you hungry?" but has since stopped since Clara would only gaze at her (with the two fingers in her mouth), as if to say, "Duh."

Hungry?
