Taking Care of Business

Joe was busy last night. As you can see, he was sporting both his business socks, and his business stickers. It is best to be appropriately attired when one is taking care of business. There was the business of signing* and making some Easter cards. Black was requested, though we did explain that purple is traditional for Easter. No matter! The black piece of construction paper did not actually become a card. It was instead cut into oblivion with the scissors. Naturally, the pieces then had to be swept up. Joe said he had to "broom" them up. Julie told him they had to be "swept" up with the broom. Joe set her straight, reiterating that the pieces would be broomed up. Naturally, after the brooming was done, there was the Swiffering to do, and the other thing** to do something with, and the big rollering to do. Then, it was time to play with Play Doh, but Joe got out the Aquadoodle mat. But then it was time to go grocery shopping, and put on Mommy's "walking" shoes, which were found on the stairs. And no evening--no evening, Fans--is complete without getting out Mommy's vacuum. Yes, Our Hero's work is never done. As we have acknowledged here before, Raleigh House would go to pot without him.

*Joe's mark, if you will, is still a snake--i.e. a straight line.

**The very seldom used Swiffer duster a la a feather duster's extension handle.
