Raspberries

Julie has been meaning to report that a week or so ago, when Clara was crawling about the bed and on and over Julie, Clara ended up with her head buried in Julie's neck. Lately, Clara's been making more noises, including sputtering with her lips. She happened to do that while her lips were against Julie's neck--effectively, an unintended raspberry. Julie let out a laugh, and Clara looked pretty pleased with herself. Julie had fun feeling Clara's throaty little giggle when the tables were turned! Clara has laughed and giggled before, but for Julie, this is the one that she'll remember as first.

It was the same with Joe. He'd laughed and giggled quite a bit, but the laugh Julie hears in her head, is from an afternoon he'd been sent home sick. It was May maybe, and a beautiful day so they were outside. Joe was pulling to stand those days, and so he did on Julie and let out a laugh of pride and delight. Sick--ha!
