Birdie: Still Down For the Count

Brigade, Our Birdie is really sick! She slept through the night, but we discovered some vomit on her blanket this morning. What a toughie! She never even squawked out! She smelled like a zoo when Julie picked her up, so she went straight to the changing table. Ordinarily, such an act is sure to bring a torrent of wails, but this morning, Birdie just didn't have it in her. She does, in fact, now have diarrhea, too, and she's feverish. Meanwhile, her breathing is still pretty raspy. She nursed one side, sat up, and then pitched forward on to Julie where she promptly fell asleep for about 10 minutes. Then, she woke up, pointed at Julie, nursed the other side, then fell asleep again. She is, in a word, lethargic. Down for the count. Given all of that, and that the first time we saw the birthmark specialist, she pooped on his suit pant and shoes, we'll be rescheduling that appointment. But we will be going to the pediatrician later today and will keep you posted as to further developments.
