Urp-ple

So Clara knows a lot of words if one knows what to listen for. And we are discovering, the second time around, that we know better what to listen for. For example, this morning, the sunrise was a really beautiful pale purple wash all along the horizon. Julie pointed out the purple sky on the way to school, and Clara's little head popped up like, "I know that one!" and she said, "Urp-ple." We told her she was wearing urp-ple socks (just like the turkey in Blue Hat, Green Hat!), and she pointed right to her socks like "Yeah, I'm catchin' what you're throwin' people. I'm catchin' what you're throwin'."
