And what does
that spell Fans? Tonight, after we piled out of the car (with relatively little grousing about who undid Joe's car seat straps from Our Hero), Ted went into to start dinner while Julie and the bambini moused around outside. Julie spied a yard waste bag over by the the wild flower garden and realized Ted had started hacking it down, but hadn't gotten to putting the cut down stalks into the bag. So she started gathering them up when Joe asked if he could help. So we all three set to the task, even Clara. It wasn't long before Joe piped up, "This is teamwork!" He was less excited about using teamwork to cheer about teamwork:
Julie: "Give me a T!"
Joe: [silence, looks at mother like she is complete and total weirdo]
But he got back into it with a simple "YEA TEAMWORK!" Clara flapped her arms (and armful of spent phlox), too.
Every so often Joe trots out a phrase like this and you can almost hear his teachers at school saying it. One that comes out more often than others is "This is a good choice!" Sort of a self-affirming pat on the back.
Teamwork. This is a good choice! YEA!
