When Julie got home from Mitchell's Admissions Open House, Baby Bird was still up! Her morning nap had stretched until noon, so she was going down later for her afternoon nap. Ted was at the door holding Clara, and Clara beamed one of her smiles, and reached right out for Julie's hair.* Then, she made for the tassel on her hat. Then, after Julie had shrugged off her coat, Clara spied--necklaces! Hooray! Julie plunked herself right down on the couch, plunked Baby Bird down on top of her, and let Baby Bird tug and chew on the necklaces until it was nap time, which they both agreed was a lovely way to pass the afternoon.*Julie does have it all over Ted so far as Clara is concerned in this regard.
