Baby Bird is all about the table food, so when we get home at night now, she routinely has dinner with Joe before her bath. She goes right from her puffy into her high chair. Eagle-eyed readers will note that her chair has changed position, shifting one station to the right. Julie moved it one night when Clara was crying whenever Julie disappeared from view. Now Clara can keep an eye on her mommy and her dinner! Joe likes to be in charge of delivering Clara's sippy cup to her. Dinner is delivered by Julie on a cutting board which prevents Clara from pushing it off the table. Pushing it off the table by accident as he swished his arms back and forth used to be Joe's trick, but Baby Bird's trick is pick it up and make like she's going to toss it. Julie thinks Clara does this when she can't reach all the food she wants, so when Clara lifts the cutting board up, Julie has taken to dumping the rest of the food on the table and taking the cutting board away.
Miss Melissa and Miss Che report that Baby Bird is just as taken with table food at school as she is at home. She eats absolutely everything, apparently, so long as it does not come in a jar and she can do it herself. She seems to have decided that jars are for suckers.
I hadn't noted the change, but can appreciate Clara Jane's point. Grandpa Tom
