Joe Breaks It Down For You

Joe is very much about getting the plan fixed in his mind and why things are the way they are. This means he will often ask why things are numerous times before moving on to making pronouncements about how things will go down and why that is. Thus, yesterday morning, on the way to do our weekly shopping before music class, Joe observed, "We call it Whole Foods because there's lots of food there. We call it Target because [pause] it targs things."

At breakfast, he'd been talking about how there were lots of belts (by which he meant the conveyor belts) at Target, but not so many at Whole Foods. He concluded this comparative exposition by exclaiming, "Holy bonkers!"
