We used to clean the house when the bambini were napping. So a byproduct of this whole no-more-naps-for-Joe thing has been shoehorning cleaning in here and there. Yesterday, Ted took Joe with him to return things at two stores, while Clara napped, so Julie seized the opportunity to do the floors. After running the vacuum for a while downstairs, she came into the downstairs hallway--the last bit to be done--and found the door to the bambini's room wide open, and thought, "Argh!" and then: "Don't panic. Just leave the vacuum on so the noise level remains the same and then try to make like a disembodied arm and close the door!" Which is exactly what she did, but when she realized the only noise she heard was the sound of the vacuum, she quickly peaked around the corner, and saw that Berenice had fled to the safety of Joe's snuggly little bed.
