A little over a week ago, Julie thought to herself, "I don't think Birdie is sucking on her two fingers anymore. . ." Julie noticed it when she was reading Clara stories before bed. Very often, after selecting her tome and flinging it up to Julie, Clara would nestle into Julie's lap, throw the first two fingers on her left hand into her mouth and throw her right hand up and behind her head to twirl her hair. Julie thought that she was just sort of half-heartedly twirling her hair now and again, but was second-guessing herself as it has been Birdie's signature pose. But then, when Ted came home from Atlanta, he said the same thing, and now, Brigade, we think it's true: Birdie isn't really striking this pose so much anymore. She is getting to be an awfully Big Birdie though.

The End of an Era?

Clara looked so much like Ted when she struck this pose! I wonder if some type of peer pressure is at play? Grandpa Tom
