We made four batches of strawberry jam today. We really means Ted since Julie only prepped two batches worth of strawberries and one batch worth of rhubarb before falling asleep on the couch, wrapped in the scent of strawberries (much like the year Joe was born*). When the bambini woke up from nap, Joe had a few tablespoons of warm jam as a snack before helping Ted with the last batch by smashing up some strawberries and dumping the sugar in the pot. Clara tried to get closer to the jars on the table. Tomorrow, we will have waffles with jam for breakfast!*http://joeekkers.blogspot.com/2009/06/jam.html
