Mother's Day*

It was great, Fans. Ted made french toast, and got raspberries to boot. And let's just put it out there: Joe is a berry monger. He coped well, though, upon being told that berries were all gone. (And given that he has a bit of a runny nose and some ear discharge, this is no small feet. Daycare reported Friday that he was cheerful but sensitive at times. Ted commented that this could be Joe's boat name if he had a boat; Julie thought this was hilarious.) We went to the bookstore as Mother's Day tradition dictates, where Julie got two books. Lunch at Punch next door and then everyone took a nap when we got home. Joe in his crib, Ted and Raleigh on the couch, Julie and Clara in the chair. Berenice was on the porch? Or was she also on the couch? This author was asleep so she can't say for sure. It as warmer than expected so post-nap, we were all on the porch.

This Mother's Day brought to you by Ted, Joe, Clara, and the number 4.

*The smile on Joe's face in this picture represents his first on command smile! Ted said "Say cheese!" and Joe did, and laughed!

  1. 1. First-rate smile, Joe. It's like he was handing out yet another mother's day gift.
    2. But is he also throwing a sly gang sign with the left hand? The Vice Lords' V, perhaps?
    3. Again with the boat references. If we win the lottery, we're sending the Raleigh house a yacht, to be named whatever Joe picks, with port and starboard and other directional identifiers pre-installed in the flooring so non-boat people (us) can follow instructions. Oh, and the proper pronunciation of "gunwales" will be posted, dictionary style, under said feature, so we the unknowing don't look completely foolish.
    4. Thanks to the number 4 for such a fine post.

  3. Julie, you look great, too. I just don't have a desire to pick you up and hug you.
