Fall Flowers

In the midst of Clara's Beasts class, the boys left to gather up the week's necessities at Target.  After class, because it was feeling like fall, and because they were caught up in the spirit of it all, Julie and Clara decided to head to the farm stand across the way for some mums for the pots out front.  Clara decided on purple and orange, of which Julie approved.  Then, the Birds headed home and Julie helped Clara plant them.  By the time the Birds were done, the boys were home and Julie took a few pictures of the bambini by the new fall flowers.

Here, Joe is aghast that he was been asked to make like he actually likes his sister (which he does).

The old switcheroo!  A classic tactic!  Now that Joe is in the spirit, Clara can't be bothered.  Um, like, she already smiled?!

Not bad.

Clara: "Dude.  What are we doing?" Joe: "We're 'smelling the flowers.'  Mommy is nuts, but let's just do this thing and get it over with."
