Though Julie has not broken out the play mat baby jungle gym thing here at home, she has introduced Clara to the giraffe you see here, a toy which is apparently all the rage among the baby set. It's manufactured by some French company (we think?) so Julie has dubbed it Frenchie (she does not sing a medley of favorites from
Grease, sadly, but she does squeak when squeezed). Clara has yet to really fall in love with Frenchie, and she will follow the rings with her eyes, but doesn't reach out to grab them. Mainly, she likes to push up (which she is very good at) and propel herself forward when Julie puts her thumbs on Clara's feet for Clara to push off of. Julie's planning to break out the mirror we used for Joe's physical therapy tomorrow or the next day.

Love the polka dot blanket and Clara's expression! We call the giraffe Sophie and it didn't leave Mia's mouth or hand after she learned to grasp it. It's really worth the rage:)
